Camp Program
Our school's camp program is a cornerstone of our students' holistic development, spanning from Year 4 to 12. Each camp offers unique experiences tailored to the age and developmental stage of the students involved, fostering personal growth, teamwork, and resilience.
For our Year 4 students, the camp experience begins with a "Sleep-over" at the College premises, providing them with their first taste of independence away from their families. Throughout the evening and the following day, students engage in team-building activities designed to foster friendships and build confidence.
Moving on to Year 5 and 6, students embark on an adventure to Lake Moogerah, where they immerse themselves in a range of thrilling activities such as raft building, kayaking, archery, hiking, and various team challenges. This camp not only encourages physical activity but also instills essential skills in problem-solving and cooperation.
Year 7 and 8 students venture to Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast, where they embrace the coastal environment through a variety of beach activities. From surfing lessons to beach games and coastal walks, this camp offers students the opportunity to connect with nature while strengthening their sense of camaraderie.
As students progress to Year 9 and 10, they head to Emu Gully near Toowoomba for a transformative experience focused on building resilience and forging strong bonds within their class cohort. Through a series of challenging outdoor activities and immersive workshops, students learn to overcome obstacles, develop leadership skills, and support one another through adversity.
Finally, for our Year 11 and 12 students, the camp serves as a platform for personal growth and group cohesion. With activities designed to stretch their comfort zones and challenge their limits, this camp encourages students to step outside of their boundaries, embrace new experiences, and strengthen their bonds as a cohesive unit.
Our school takes pride in covering all camp costs within the school fees. This inclusive approach ensures that every student can participate regardless of financial constraints. By removing financial barriers, we promote equity and foster a strong sense of community. Families can rest assured that their children will have access to these enriching experiences without any additional financial burden.
